For a moment i would like People of Taos, the politicians, commissioners, the government agencies, teachers, business owners, spiritualists, activists ... everyone, to take a moment today to look at each other not as the "Public", rather as your relative... your mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, sister, brother ~ 

your daughter and your son

your grand children

your wife, your husband

oh how we love them

this "village that raises the children"

We are all Relatives and members of the One Humanity

So think for a moment if you are such a person who would Protect 

your relatives, your family, your grandaughter or grandson from Harm ~

maybe this harm would come from cancer, diabetes, dementia, a drunk driver, poisoning to food and water ~ a rapist or murderer ~ an Airport expansion

what if you knew that

you and your children and grandchildren
can not live without
Healthy WATER
can not live without Healthy AIR
can not live without a healthy relationship with energy - FIRE
can not live without a Healthy MOTHER EARTH

and that harm in the form of noise, jetfuel and chemical pollution, 

resource extraction, gmo's and "economic progress" is factually committing Omnicide ~  

Would you have the Courage, Truth, Love, and Wisdom to stop the harm?
by simply making healthier decisions ?

What is Omnicide? it is the genocide to Earth's Ecosystem to the point where no animals, plants, or humans can live ~ this is happening locally and globally 

to the interconnected earth ecosystem. 

Locally the proposed plans for an expanded airport and pump and sell water corporate schemes is totally contrary to a sustainable future for Taos.

Despite the social-cultural, scientific and eco-economic facts: 

~ that the People of Taos have said NO to the expansion of the airport 

for nearly FOUR DECADES ~  

~ that 1000 homes where Your children, and families LIVE, are being put in the direct path of harm and pollution

~ that 24M is like saying the health of your Whole family of 30, 000 people
and the harm to Taos Valley ecosysem is worth $800 bucks ~
for every woman, man and child ~

~ that scientific confirmation that noise and fuel pollution will harm water, and food growing... will disrupt the migration patterns of Elk, Coyotes, Bats, Butterflies ~ etc 

~ that the Town is proceeding in disregard for the court's indication that adequate zoning and planning has not been done to insure public safety

~ that the current "Neighborhood Associations" have not been, nor currently are

speaking with those they say they represent ~

~ that assurances that the "flight paths" will respect the traditional sacred sites of Taos Pueblo as a reason to agree to proceed ~ as if anyone else's home, land, family and culture is not Sacred ? 
and to date ~ those that fly have Not respected the no flight areas.

~ that what hurts land, home and life on either side of the cattle guard is a hurt to Everyone

~ that the "town economics" serve a capitalist model that is outdated and no longer serves  true sustainability
~ and No Forum has been called by town and county governance to give adequate time for the People to share about, collaborate and cooperate on better solutions ~ vs our 3 minute snippets.

~ that the processes of "governance" on such an important and earth-water-life threatening issue has now become merely going through the motions of the governance process because greed is more important than listening to your own children ? ~

~ despite the western and indigenous scientific fact that pumping mega water and sending it elsewhere, will further exacerbate the drought, there will more loss to trees that breath for us, and make wells run dry ~ 

Water is a Birthright ...not an economic resource, and the plan to privatize it is a well know strategy ~ to continue to enslave and control people worldwide by corporate thinkers ~

Either you are in service to the next generation or you are in service for greed.

It is that simple ~

Because for 500K there are all sorts of solutions that the money could seed ~

For example: world wide the "industry" of Eco-Cultural Education is booming

and We the People would be happy to give you a presentation ~

~ refurbish community centers and build new ones with greenhouses to revitalize our culture, arts, and designate land commons for horses, sheep, lamas, chickens, food forests, and even hemp fields for bio-fuel ~ and local composting for worms and mushrooms ( mushrooms transform and clean up radiation and toxic waste)

~ revitalize asequias and unused ag lands ~ surplus food canned and distributed to the most vulnerable : school children, elderly and homeless
~ a habitat for humanity homeless complex 

~ retrofit every home with compostable potties, and solar energy for wells

~ a full on media arts and culture arts center 

this is just a start ...
Vermont and Germany are now nearly fully solar energy
and the Lakota Nation with one of the highest national poverty and youth suicide rates is building Wind energy ~

there are so many better activities that are true sustainability to spend 24M, 500, 000 dollars on because the truth IS

the reason the Majority of people come to Taos is for the Eco-system and Culture

and is similar to going to Peru, Findhorn, Esalen, or any other Eco tourist place...people go there because they LIKE to get there by horse, lama, by walking or bus ...to get out of the urbanitis rat race ~ to enjoy Mother Earth's grace and beauty because the time is Now to remember and learn how to live in harmony with Mother Earth ~ this is the knowledge and skills our children want and they need earth and lands to live ~ not a retirement resort.
